Enso, or the Zen circle, is considered a symbol of wholeness, rebirth, the inner self, enlightenment, strength, elegance, emptiness and at the same time fullness. The circle itself symbolizes cyclicity, repetition, the relationship of the end and the beginning, the union of the past, the present and the future. Inner space means emptiness, which must be filled over time, in the process of self-development, self-discovery.
